About a month ago, I went to a furniture auction, and accidentally bought these boring vintage 1970's swivel base club chairs. I thought I was bidding on something else. When I found out, I was really disappointed - I paid too much, the fabric was dull and dirty and the wood bases weren't even wood - they were covered with wood grain contact paper. Ugh!
Well, I put them into storage and went home mad at myself. After taking a breather, I began to see these chairs in a new light. I realized that these chairs weren't so bad afterall - they just needed some love. So, I had them redone:
WOW! I found an exquisite blue velvet and had the bases covered in a brushed brass finish banding. And you know what? They sold within a week! These babies are headed to London. Totally jealous.
